Automatic subtitles: from transcription to a finished video

Transcribe, review and style captions in CLIPVIDE, then check them before export.

For version 0.31.262 · Interface and features may change during beta.

01

Start with your edited sequence

Import your videos and arrange them on the timeline before transcription. Listen to the speech and check that it is clear. Remove footage you will not use before generating captions to reduce transcription and review work.

02

Transcribe and check the range

Open the captions and transcription tools and select the spoken language. A project without captions can be transcribed throughout; with partial captions, check that the missing sections are covered. AI transcription requires service access and the appropriate quota or API configuration.

03

Review the text against the audio

Play the video and review every sentence. Pay special attention to names, numbers and quiet speech. A suspicious-caption notice asks for review; it does not prove that the text is wrong. The bulk caption editor lets you revise multiple lines and save together; Enter divides a long caption into two lines.

04

Style and make a test export

Choose a readable font, contrasting color and size that suit the frame. Position captions away from faces and important details. Export a short sample and check readability on a phone and computer before exporting the full video.
