Go from importing and trimming clips to music, captions and your first export.

Create a project and import media
CLIPVIDE is a Windows desktop editor. Install and open it on your computer, name the project and import videos, photos or music. My media shows previews of project files; add selected items or drag a file preview onto the timeline.
Arrange and trim the sequence
Start on V1. Arrange clips to tell your story, shorten their beginnings and ends with the clip handles and split at the playhead using the cut tool. The audio cut button supports separate sound editing. Use Undo after an unwanted change.
Add what helps the story
Keep music low enough to hear the speech. Add captions where they improve understanding and choose transitions that match the pace. Additional video tracks support layers; you do not need to use every track in each project. Use Space to play and pause when you are not typing in a text field.
Save and check before sharing
Save the project so you can return to it. Open Export and choose quality, aspect ratio and settings for your destination. Make a short test export first and listen to its audio. Keep the source files in a stable location so they remain available the next time you open the project.
